You talk outraged in Halifax…
Local building contractors over bid on repairs, then they didn’t have the work covered.
The home owners said the local contractors in fact actually only hid the damage by building new on top then the work fell down.
The insurance company said the work wasn’t covered by the contractor but they took the money anyway!
Later, on the bid the home owner said the insurance company needed the repairs done by a company that could maintain a 24 run building with a round the clock technician.
Like in a skyscraper, which was covered by the home owners insurance.
They said the home required a 24 hour technician to monitor damage and construction patches for the temporary fix.
Later, they would get the estimate when the temporary patch was finished and the 24 hour technician was done, and didn’t need to be at the site to monitor repair equipment for the patch.
The insurance company said the local contractor was default on the court case and couldn’t cover the settlement and went NSF.
The building damage was covered by the insurance company, after the local contractor went bankrupt by scamming on the overbid with the work not covered.
